Rural Education

Through our rural education initiatives, we aim to leverage digital media to make education accessible to not just kids in rural India but also to the women and farming communities where they learn about health, hygiene, nutrition, better farming techniques and financial literacy. 

Making use of technology, we try to bring education to the doorsteps of the farming community through this initiative. Educational videos related to water conservation, organic farming, inter cropping, and many others are pre-loaded on to Tablets and provided to villagers who watch, learn and are encouraged to implement them. Same tablets are used by women to learn about reproductive health, nutrition, hygiene etc. These tablets are also loaded with English, Math and Science curriculum so kids can learn from those in schools.

Self Help groups 

Self help groups have been created in Bundhelkhand region to educate Rural population. During SHG meetings, members discussed monthly savings and inter loaning, family health, nutrition and reproductive health issues. They also discussed social security related Government Schemes and the processes to get benefits from those schemes. Some members are regularly taking initiatives to receive benefits from those schemes for themselves and for their neighbors by raising issues in gram panchayat meetings and interacting with village level government service providers.
